The location is great. Near everything. From all kinds of shops and restaurants to the beaches (although all paid, what seems to be standard for Hurghada as we learned. I can recommend for example Ede...
Areas for improvement:
Lots of noise from the street, especially in the city center that seems "does not sleep". Would appreciate better noise-proofing.
